Tomitingo (tomitingo.com) is a free online video downloader that runs entirely in your browser. There is nothing to install, no extension to add and no account to create: you paste a public video link, pick a format, and the file saves straight to your phone or computer.

What it can save

Tomitingo handles the platforms people ask about most. Instagram Reels come down in full HD. YouTube videos and Shorts go up to 1080p and 4K. TikTok videos save without the watermark. Public videos from Facebook, Twitter/X and Snapchat work too. If you only want the sound — a podcast, a speech, a lecture — the built-in YouTube MP3 converter extracts the audio at 320kbps. Video formats are MP4 and WebM; audio comes out as high-bitrate MP3.

How to use it

Copy the link of the video from its app or website — the share button gives you the clean link. Open tomitingo.com and paste the link into the box. Choose your format and quality, press download, and wait for the file. On a phone it lands in your gallery or downloads folder; on a PC it lands wherever your browser saves downloads. Bigger quality means a bigger file: 4K looks best on a TV but eats storage and data, while 1080p is the sweet spot for most phones.

The honest limits

Only public videos work. A private video — for example one inside a private Facebook group that needs a login to watch — cannot be downloaded, and Tomitingo says so itself. The site also states plainly that it does not host or store any videos on its own servers, does not bypass DRM, passwords or any access controls, and that all platform names belong to their owners. Files are delivered from the platforms' own content networks.

Stay on the right side of it

A downloader is a tool; what matters is what you save. Download your own uploads, content the creator has given you permission to keep, or material that is clearly free to reuse — for personal, offline viewing. A video without a watermark still belongs to its creator, and taking the watermark off does not make reposting it yours. Also keep it safe: type tomitingo.com yourself rather than trusting a lookalike link, never type your social media passwords into any downloader page, and remember a finished download is a video or audio file — never a program asking to install itself.
